REGISTRATION
Description
The Georgia Instructor Training (GIT) program is specifically designed for Georgia Pre-License Instructor Candidates and current Instructors wanting to improve their teaching skills.
This 3-day training, offered by the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC), ensures compliance with Rule 520-3-.04(1). Candidates are required to attend GIT PRIOR TO they can be approved as Pre-License Instructors by GREC.
Continuing Education (CE) Credits
- Attendance on Day One and Day Two qualifies for 12 hours of real estate CE credit and 7 hours of appraisal CE credit.
Final Presentation Requirement
- On Day 3, each candidate must develop and deliver a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation on an assigned pre-license topic.

- Materials Used
Additional Details
- Tuition includes the GIT Candidate Manual and morning/afternoon snacks.
- There is a one-hour lunch break (lunch is NOT provided).
- Participants must bring a tablet or computer to class.
- Participants must bring a flash drive to class.
- Class size is limited to 28 students.

Tom Gillett
As a REALTOR® Emeritus, Tom has been a mainstay in real estate and appraisal training and education for over twenty years. Having worked as a salesperson, broker, and appraiser for over 40 years in 5 decades, Tom has harnessed that experience and now focuses his efforts in education. Tom is President of The Tom Gillette Company, Inc, and oversees its subsidiaries, the Institute of Real Estate Training and Gillette Real Estate Education. Currently, Tom makes over 200 presentations per year in varied real estate subjects and has authored for companies such as Applied Measurement Professionals, The Psychology Corporation, Thomson-Computaught, Cengage Publishing, Thomson South-Western, the Georgia Real Estate Commission, and pens ongoing articles for REALTOR® Online Magazine. Tom has authored the real estate career manual “Breakaway To Success” and with Charles Jacobus, co-authored the textbook “Georgia Real Estate: An Introduction To The Profession.” His commitment to education has been recognized by the Georgia Association of REALTORS® as he has three times (2003, 2012, and 2013) been the recipient of the Georgia Instructor of the Year award. Additionally, Tom was honored to receive the Distinguished Career award from the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association and named Captain of Industry by his local Board of REALTORS®.
Vickie Rogers
Vickie S. Rogers, a lifelong learner who loves to share what she knows, earned the prestigious REEA Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) designation in 2024. She was awarded the national Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) 2023 Educator of the Year and the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association (GREEA) 2022 Educator of the Year. She is a 1992 Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute. She has been a licensed broker/owner in Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia. Her passion is teaching and helping others become successful in the real estate industry. With over 30+ years of real estate experience and 25+ years of teaching Vickie’s classes are interactive and engaging. Come to learn and leave to excel!
