Award Nominations

If you, or someone you know deserves to be awarded for their actions, nominations are currently open for 2024 GREEA Awards! Descriptions of the Awards Nominations are below.

Nominations must be received no later than September 30, 2024, at 5:00pm.

AWARDS

    • Instructor of the Year
    • Administrator of the Year
    • Rising Star / Rookie of the Year (Member must be within the first 3 years of being an Instructor) 
    • Distinguished Career 
    • Volunteer of the Year (Must Provide the Volunteers efforts throughout the year of 2024)
    • New Outstanding Program / Course (Program/Course MUST BE a new unique Program/Course available to all)

CRITERIA

For each of the Awards, the following criteria must be met:

  1. Nominee must a current member for the year 2024
  2. Current GREEA President, President-Elect and Immediate Past President are not eligible to receive
  3. The award nomination form must be used with no additional documentation included and are limited to one
  4. Signature of the person submitting the nomination is required. E-signatures will be accepted. Typed signatures will not be accepted
  5. A hi-resolution photo is an image of 30+ dpi (1,000 KB or over 1 MB) resolution in a jpg, pdf, or tiff format of the nominee must be emailed to robert@mycbhomes.com by the deadline
  6. All nominations must be typed. Handwritten nominations will not be considered
  7. Entries received that do not adhere to these criteria will not be considered
  8. The judges will be requested to consider the applicant's total personality and lifestyle to ensure that the winner will be held up to the public as “the best of us”
  9. The Awards Committee reserves the right to ask for additional information

Officer and Director Nominations

It's that time of year again.  GREEA needs YOU!
If you, or someone you know, is ready to serve on the GREEA Board of Directors, nominations are currently open for Directors and Officers for 2025Descriptions of the elected positions are below.

OPEN POSITIONS
President Elect: The President-Elect shall be responsible for long range planning and shall attend to such other duties assigned by the President or the Board of Directors. In the event of the absence, disability or refusal of the President to act, the President-Elect shall act in the President’s stead. In addition, the President-Elect shall automatically accede to the office of President when the Presidents’ term of office ends.
Treasurer: The Treasurer, as the principal fiscal officer, shall be in charge of and responsible for the funds and books of account of Association, and shall attend such other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall have charge of all funds and securities of the Association, which shall be kept in FDIC insured banks or other depositories or invested in accordance with a written policy approved by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall also be responsible for maintaining a current list of members in good financial standing, which is prepared by the Membership Chairperson and transmitted to the Board of Directors annually. The Treasurer shall, on or before the end of the fiscal year, prepare a budget setting forth details of the estimated revenues and expenditures of the Association for the ensuing fiscal year to be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval.
Secretary: The Secretary shall keep full and complete minutes of the meetings of the membership and of the Board of Directors; conduct correspondence; issue notices; and shall perform all other duties usually appertaining to the office of Secretary and such other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors. The Secretary also shall oversee and confirm that the Association’s accounting firm has properly and timely filed the Association’s annual report and annual registration with the Secretary of State’s Office and report same to the Board of Directors. If the Secretary is absent from any such meeting the President shall appoint any person in attendance to act as Secretary of the meeting.
Director:  Board Directors will attend regularly scheduled Board of Directors meetings and any specially called meetings, at the direction of the President.  Board Directors shall become familiar with the By-laws, Policies and Procedures and stay up to date with matters concerning the Association.
